Primary Purpose
Overall site research coordination: including development, implementation and reporting
Key Accountabilities:
1. Experience with geriatric health research groups and networks
Experience in coordination of geriatric health research projects
2. Coordinate and participate in data collection activities:
- Liaison with study sites and recruitment of participants, interviews and data collection
- Collecting field notes and focus group notes
- Organizing and collecting survey information
3. Coordination of ethics applications:
Coordinating ethics applications preparation and submission
4. Responsible for coordination of communication including but not limited to :
- Ensuring communication is maintained among investigators and collaborators
- Coordination of teleconferences and face-to-face meetings involving external research group members
- Liaising with the KTE Specialist with regards to website maintenance and quarterly Bulletin newsletter
5. Coordinating the preparation of peer-reviewed articles and presentations:
- Ensures the smooth flow of articles in the writing phase
- Coordinates the final proofreading, formatting and submission of peer-reviewed articles and printing of reports, publications, presentations, etc.
6.Supervision of research trainees
- Provide day-to-day coordination and supervision of research trainees to complete required tasks and to ensure the smooth operation of the research group
7. Manage and maintain the research budgets:
- Coordinate, assist in anticipating and making decisions about expenditures over the course of the project in collaboration with the Project Manager and Principal Investigator
8. Coordinate the development and submission of grant proposals and reports
- Coordinating the preparation, development and submission of research grant applications in collaboration with the Project Manager and the Principal Investigator(s)

Education:
Experience:
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and hand multiple assignments and deadlines
Familiarity with UW policies and procedures
Experience with coordinating and participating in data collection activities
Proven experience in student supervision
Demonstrated experience in coordination of research projects
