Administrative Assistant to the Chair

Grade: Reports to: Chair and Administrative Officer, Department of Management Sciences

General Accountability

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing executive level support to the Chair of the Department of Management Sciences. The scope of this position encompasses several key functions: provides executive assistance to the Chair with respect to faculty appointments, tenure and promotion, and merit proceedings; acts as executive secretary to the Chair; provides administrative support in the preparation and submission of reports, accreditations, planning documents; provides functional direction to all administrative staff in the absence of the Administrative Officer; This position reports jointly to the Chair and Administrative Officer of the Management Sciences Department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


Education: Education or training in business and /or executive assistant administration preferred.
