Primary Purpose
This position is responsible for the general upkeep of a number of labs and for assisting technical staff as required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Cleaning floors by sweeping, vacuuming, or mopping for specific activities such as when a machine creates debris or in certain labs— i.e. labs that are considered “clean labs”
- Cleaning work surfaces that are free of items, equipment, and machines as directed
- Removal of recycling materials
- Maintaining and replenishing stock such as paper towels and soap
- Moving of items such as furniture, equipment, and boxes
- Providing general assistance to technicians as required, including but not limited to activities such as:
- painting
- equipment maintenance
- cutting material
- packing and unpacking equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned

Physical and Sensory Demands:
Lifting, bending and stretching. The majority of the work is indoors, however the incumbent may be required to travel outside when disposing of recycling materials.
