Head Baker

Commissary Manager/Buyer

General Accountability

The individual will supervise bakers, assistant bakers, cooks, porters, and food service assistants.


The Head Baker will advise the Commissary Manager/Buyer on product selection, materials sourcing, scheduling, staff levels and recipe development.


Perform other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

This position is accountable to the Commissary Manager/Buyer for the overall efficient operations of the bakery.


The Commissary Manager/Buyer reports to the Director of Food Services.  Reporting to the Commissary Manager/Buyer are the : Assistant Commissary Manager; the Head Baker; and the Head Meat Cutter.
