Primary Purpose

This is a senior staff position in the department responsible for a complex range of administrative activities required to facilitate operations of all department administrative, academic, financial, research and supervisory functions; in accordance with the goals and objectives for the department in consultation with the Chair of the Department. This position is responsible for department relations and liaison with the Dean’s Office in the Faculty of Environment and other Departments on campus.

Key Accountabilities:

1.  Administrative and strategic assistance to the Chair


2.  Administrative and supervisory responsibilities to support staff


3.  Financial and budget planning responsibilities (Department and Research)



4.  Scheduling coordinator



5.  Administrative management

Position Requirements


Some postsecondary education in a discipline related to management, business administration, finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
