Primary Purpose

The Faculty Relations Manager is accountable for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the Faculty of Mathematics’ faculty appointment procedures, tenure and promotion procedures, annual review process and faculty salary increase process, sabbatical and other leave applications, and immigration. The individual is also responsible for faculty records and reporting management, and acts as the faculty liaison to both internal and external contacts on all matters related to faculty members.

Key Accountabilities:

Position Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education with several years’ experience at the Faculty level.

Experience:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures, as they pertain to both the faculty and University. Independent judgment in areas of time management, task prioritization and decision-making.  Proven ability to manage a large volume of work with conflicting priorities and deadlines.

 

 

Technical:

Intermediate experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word; advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, including features such as databases. Intermediate experience with SharePoint and web content management software.
