HR Project Coordinator

Primary Purpose

The HR Project Coordinator provides support with all project management activities including gathering information from users and a variety of other sources while contributing to the entire project lifecycle under the direction of the Assistant HR Director, Operations. The position is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing all tasks that relate to specific transformational and HR strategic projects.

Key Accountabilities:

1.  Supports Project Managers, Project team members and the HR leadership team with the planning, execution and monitoring of project related activities:


2.  Develop, maintain, review and ensure accurate and timely completion of project documentation



3.  Support HR process transformation initiatives and strategic project execution



4.  Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and gain consensus with all internal and external stakeholders

Position Requirements


Undergraduate degree with CAPM (Certified Associate Project Manager) designation preferred, PMP or equivalent experience with PMP designation. 



MS Word Excel PowerPoint Other
Proficient (track changes, compare and merge files, table management, footnotes, technical documentation)

Advanced (macros, pivot tables, v/h look-ups, scenarios, if and sum if statements)

Proficient (creation of multi-level lists, charts, images, creation of master slides and dynamic presentations) Visio, MS Project, SharePoint, knowledge of lean principles (six sigma, lean, TQM), business analysis, business process improvement, process mapping

Interpersonal Skills:

Internally, communicates with employees in all groups and departments and at all levels to resolve issues related to area of responsibility. 

Level of Responsibility:

Participates in all aspects of project management within HR; however has defined duties and responsibilities under the direction of the Assistant HR Director Operations for overall program/project management. 

Decision-Making Authority:

Accountable and responsible for coordinating assigned projects end to end and escalating any concerns regarding project planning and execution to the Assistant HR Director, Operations.

Physical and Sensory Demands:

Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions, typical of a position exposed to deadline pressures and accountability.
